Today, I want to take you behind the scenes of Cascata’s Detox Shampoo. We all love that fresh, squeaky-clean feeling but what really makes a shampoo “detoxifying”? Let’s break it down in a simple, friendly, and a little bit fun way.
Gentle Exfoliation with Glycolic Acid: One of my favourite ingredients in our Detox Shampoo is glycolic acid. It’s a gentle exfoliant that works wonders on the scalp. Over time, hair can collect product build-up, sweat, and dead skin cells. Glycolic acid helps lift these away, leaving your scalp feeling clean, refreshed, and perfectly prepped for healthy hair growth. Think of it as a mini facial just for your scalp!
Eucalyptus Oil for a Calmer, Clearer Scalp: We also added eucalyptus oil, a powerhouse anti-inflammatory. Congested hair follicles? It helps clear them out and soothes irritation, making it perfect if your scalp feels stressed or sensitive. Plus, it gives a subtle, refreshing scent that wakes you up in the best way like a breath of fresh forest air.
Citrus Fruit Oils for Balance and Growth
Our Detox Shampoo features bergamot and lemon oils, and they’re more than just a lovely scent:
- Lemon Oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help eliminate dandruff and soothe an itchy scalp. It’s like a little reset button for your roots.
- Bergamot Oil is a natural stimulant that increases blood circulation to the scalp, encouraging hair growth and reducing hair fall. It also helps repair damaged or sunburnt hair, restores moisture, and adds shine, so your hair looks as healthy as it feels.
